NOVSEP — named after its founders: NOV (Yuzhi) and SEP (Michelle).

Founded by designers who met and honed their craft in Toronto, NOVSEP is now rooted in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Years of working across international hospitality and residential projects shaped their belief that true quality is defined not by excess, but by precision — in proportion, material, detail, and restraint.

Bringing this perspective to Shanghai, NOVSEP works closely with skilled local makers, drawing on the city’s craftsmanship, manufacturing expertise, and ability to realize highly detailed design. Produced in small quantities, each piece is carefully developed and quality checked by the team, from concept through production.

NOVSEP believes good design is not defined by where something is made, but by the thinking behind it and the quality with which it is made. By combining international design experience with the skill and capabilities of Shanghai’s makers, NOVSEP creates expressive, enduring pieces with character — thoughtfully made and built to last.
